Bring Me The Horizon – BTS Photos, 2021

Shot under The Work of Jar

In 2021, I photographed Bring Me The Horizon while they recorded their new album.

They worked fast, hard, quiet. Just focus.

They pulled ideas from every kind of music. They broke songs apart. I watched them pull sounds from outside metal, then made it theirs. They really built each track like a puzzle so to speak, put melody first.

They let me watch. I was luck to have the access.

I shot under my Creative Brand for The Work of Jar. That name covers my touring traditional shot-work.

I used a Sony a6400 with a few lenses. I used strong flash, overexposed. Technically, flawed stuff. I wanted the photos to feel like film. Some shots are not clean, the point. They show what happened contained within the vibe.

Hard light, blur, and grain became my best friend in post. I leaned in when it made sense. That instinct for visual consistency shaped how I now build AI visuals. This was the start.

You'll see shots of Oli, the band, the crew, and some odd moments in between. I'm proud of what I caught. Not because it's perfect. But because of the way they make me feel.

Gear Used

– Sony a6400

– Sigma and vintage lenses

– Westcott FJ-80 and FJ-400 lights

They gave me trust, I gave them my eye.

I'm grateful.
