AI Music Video for Hundredth’s “All The Way” by Johnny Art

All The Way was the third video I made for Faded Splendor. Dark Side came first, then Waste. This was the one that locked in the full direction. After it was finished, every visual followed the same framework.

How It Started

In January, Chadwick asked for something simple for Dark Side. Just liminal spaces. That was the starting point. Waste came next and leaned into abstraction. When I started All The Way, I shifted toward realism. The shots needed to look filmed, not illustrated.

The star shape became the visual anchor. It appears in every scene and repeats across the full video.

The frog was a small callback. Chadwick had used it in a previous release as a kind of visual anchor. He didn’t expand much on it, and I didn’t here either. I just brought it back, but as a star-shaped frog this time. It felt funny and made the whole thing feel more connected.

What Is in the Video

There is no plot. Just a sequence of scenes built around a repeated shape.

Hallway with a yellow star. Red star on a face. A frog with a star-shaped body. People in a field wearing star costumes. A wide frame of a white star on the ground with a group standing around it.

Each scene is built the same way. Same symbol. Same world.

Visual Style

Flat focus. Real textures. Grain and analog feel. Most shots are static. A few slow zooms. Slight ramp in pace near the end.

At the end, we played with sound. I added a fake foley hit when the people in suits drop the star-shaped figure. It’s a small thing, but it helps sell the moment and makes the world feel more physical.

Tools and Process

MidJourney for visuals. Prompts were split into components. Elements like color, lighting, and mood were locked across the whole sequence. Hailuo MiniMax handled sequencing.

I shared a concept PDF with Chadwick. He approved it instantly. I had full control from that point forward.

Direction

All The Way set the tone for the rest of the album visuals. Every decision after this referenced it. Including the artwork, merch.
